Jonathan is the managing attorney at Jonathan L. Bowman, Attorney at Law, PS, a downtown Seattle, law firm. The firm’s practice focuses upon personalized legal services, and effective client representation in a variety of legal matters; including estate planning, probate, elder law, corporate and business law, real estate law, and domestic relations, including marriage and domestic partnership matters.
Providing personalized and responsive attention, as well as accessible and affordable legal experience, are at the forefront of Mr. Bowman’s legal representation for over 25 years. In November 1993, Mr. Bowman was admitted to practice as an attorney in Washington State; and in July 1995, he was admitted to the Bar of the United States District Court, Western District of Washington. In December 2018, Mr. Bowman was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
Attorney Bowman understands the “bottom line” and has set his firm’s legal service fees accordingly with “value” at top of mind. As an experienced and seasoned attorney, Jonathan helps his client’s get the best results possible, by utilizing innovative and progressive legal approaches. “I love it when the firm successfully resolves a conflict for a client or has negotiated a transaction which is more than fair and exceeds our clients’ expectations,” Mr. Bowman says.
For many years Mr. Bowman and his firm have supported equality issues and same sex marriage. In 2013 and 2015, he was asked to sign on two Supreme Court of the United States Amicus Curiae Briefs, which ended in favorable decisions of same sex marriages.
Mr. Bowman is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle. The Council’s membership includes local attorneys, like Mr. Bowman, and CPAs, trust officers, insurance professionals, financial planners and members of the planned giving community; whose professional vocations have been concentrated upon assisting individuals reach their estate planning objectives.
Jonathan believes that a balance of work, family, friends and giving back to the community is essential to his firm’s success and to the success of others. He is well-known in the community for his volunteerism and leadership.
